WELCOME TO PARADISE
La Ventana
Imagine a place where the desert meets the sea, where mountains frame whitesand beaches, and the wind blows with the perfect strength and consistency for kitesurfing.
That place exists, and it’s called La Ventana, in Baja California Sur.
Known as one of the best kitesurfing spots in the world, La Ventana is a small fishing village that, from November to April, transforms into a vibrant meeting point for riders from all over the planet.
Its constant winds of 15–25 knots, the warm, clear waters of the Sea of Cortez, and the tranquility of its beaches create a unique setting for learning, progressing, or perfecting your kitesurfing skills.
But La Ventana is much more than just wind and sea:
• Unspoiled nature: desert mountains, giant cacti, and golden sunsets.
• Extraordinary marine life: swim with whale sharks in La Paz, watch whales in winter, or explore reefs by snorkeling and scuba diving.
• Adventure on land: mountain biking, hiking, and desert walks.
• Relaxed atmosphere: seaside restaurants, bars with live music, and an international community that welcomes you with good vibes.
At La Ventana, you won’t just learn to kitesurf: you’ll experience endless days of sunshine, make new friends, and experience the freedom that only this corner of Baja California Sur can offer.

ENJOY
WHAT TO DO?
La Ventana isn’t just wind and waves: it’s a complete paradise where every day can
be a new adventure. After a kite session, explore the magic of Baja California Sur
with unique experiences that combine desert, sea, and wilderness.
Hiking and Mountain Biking on the Punta Gorda Trail
Explore one of La Ventana’s most iconic trails. Hike or bike among giant cacti,
rocks, and spectacular views of the Sea of Cortez. The route (5–10 km) is
accessible and perfect for connecting with nature after kiting. With luck, you might
spot coyotes or local birds. A must for those seeking adventure on dry land.
Paddleboarding or Kayaking at Sunrise
Experience the calm of the bay before the wind picks up. Paddle over crystal-clear,
calm waters, with the chance to see reefs, turtles, and even dolphins. Ideal for all
ages, whether paddleboarding or kayaking. It’s the perfect experience for epic
photos with the desert in the background.
Whale Watching and Snorkeling in La Paz
Just an hour from La Ventana, La Paz offers magical encounters with marine life.
Depending on the season, you can swim alongside whale sharks, see dolphins, or
snorkel at Espiritu Santo Island, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. An experience
many travelers describe as unforgettable
Balandra Beach
Famous throughout Mexico, Balandra Beach is a paradise of turquoise waters,
white sand, and otherworldly landscapes. Relax in the sun, explore the mangrove
trails, or paddle in shallow waters. It’s the perfect contrast to the adrenaline rush
of kiting: absolute calm in a protected natural environment.
